Dudley Smith Farm No. 7, a 228-acre research site in Christian County, is a unique resource for research and outreach under the Dudley Smith Initiative. Currently operated by a tenant under the auspices of the University Trust Farms, it has served as a field-scale research site for the work done through the initiative. Net farming income continues to be used for general improvements to the site. Although it has been recognized that not all research and outreach sponsored by the Dudley Smith Initiative relates to the farm, there is a special commitment to the Smith family and Christian County. Therefore, appropriate research projects are encouraged to utilize the farm’s resources.
Detailed information about the use of the farm and the availability of records is available from the Office of Research.
